Link an artist image in Wix.
Keep the image and page you already designed. Add one stable artist destination with the normal link control in Wix.
Before you start
Create and copy the artist destination, then return here. One ordinary image can open one destination. For a poster with several artists, keep the poster as it is and add separate artist images below it. Clickable regions inside one poster are still a concept preview.
These steps cover a single image in the Wix Editor.
Add the link

Select the artist image
Open the page in the Wix Editor and select the existing image.

Choose what happens on a click
Open Settings. Under When image is clicked, choose A link opens.

Add the artist destination
Under What does it link to?, choose the Link control, enter the stable Abrazo artist destination, and choose Done.

Publish the site
Choose Publish. Wix links do not work from inside every editor view, so use the published page for the final test.
Test the published page on mobile
- 1Publish the change, then open the published page on a real phone. Builder preview modes can behave differently from the live site.
- 2Tap the image once. Confirm that the intended Abrazo artist page opens and that the browser Back button returns to the same place on your event page.
- 3Repeat the test in a narrow portrait view. Make sure the image still fits the page and the tap does not open a lightbox or a media file instead.
Remove the link without removing the image
- 1.Select the image again and open its Link control.
- 2.Choose None for the link, confirm with Done, then publish the site. The image remains on the page.
