Level 1 builder guide

Link an artist image in Webflow.

Keep the image and page you already designed. Add one stable artist destination with the normal link control in Webflow.

Before you start

Create and copy the artist destination, then return here. One ordinary image can open one destination. For a poster with several artists, keep the poster as it is and add separate artist images below it. Clickable regions inside one poster are still a concept preview.

Webflow makes an image clickable by placing it inside a Link block.

Add the link

  1. 1

    Add a Link block

Open the Elements panel in the Designer and add a Link block beside the artist image.

  2. 2

    Move the image into it

In the canvas or Navigator, drag the existing image inside the Link block. Do not place another link inside the same Link block.

  3. 3

    Set the destination

Select the Link block, open Element settings, choose the URL link type, and paste the stable Abrazo artist destination.

  4. 4

    Publish the site

Publish to the domain you want to test. The Link block keeps your image and layout together as one ordinary link.

Test the published page on mobile

  1. 1Publish the change, then open the published page on a real phone. Builder preview modes can behave differently from the live site.
  2. 2Tap the image once. Confirm that the intended Abrazo artist page opens and that the browser Back button returns to the same place on your event page.
  3. 3Repeat the test in a narrow portrait view. Make sure the image still fits the page and the tap does not open a lightbox or a media file instead.

Remove the link without removing the image

  1. 1.Right-click the Link block that contains the image.
  2. 2.Choose Convert to Div block, then publish again. Webflow keeps the image and layout while removing the click destination.
